An excellent subject to make a semi sclae model. As Bob Thacker said in his Model Builder's article, it need some speed to land without stalling.
To reduce slow speed, we need to enlarge "nose plane" and change aspectratio. So this will change general profile of this bird...
It was my first canard project, but it in not my preffered one...

Here is a russian project, for WWII.
Proportions looks to be good to make a stable canard. Easy body.

For me, the most interesting and aesthetical. Good rudders surfaces.
Perhaps a little more difficult to build.
